In Focus | The Bower Byron Bay
The Bower, is the latest addition to Byron Beach Abodes portfolio of luxury holiday accomodation, and it sure is beautiful. Conceptualised and created by Taliah and Sein Lowry, and a carefully curated team of creatives, the concept for The Bower was developed after the couple holidayed in New York in 2016. “We visited New York with the idea of moving there for a year with our boys, I had spent a lot of my childhood on the West Coast, in California and like many teenagers, I dreamed fervently about what life was like on the other side, in the Big City. I was immediately attracted to the Bowery, a neighbourhood in NYC - especially the lines of the squat square buildings and perfect awnings," says Taliah. The couple have decided to put their New York City dreams on hold for now and reinvent the inspiration in Byron Bay. With interior design and styling of the interior by Lynda Gardener, (who we interviewed here last year) and Belle Hemming Bright, the wonderful spaces are balanced through a mix of textures and tones – wood, metals, textiles, plush velvets and linens.
The Bower successfully reimagines the whole concept of ‘beach motel’, by combining the barefoot ambiance of Byron Bay with the discreet and effortless elegance of New York boutique accommodation. Positioned on one of Byron Bay’s original properties, the relaxed, palm-filled compound features accommodation offerings for all experiences: The Bower Suites, The Bower Cottage, The Bower Barn and The Bower House. Each experience is unique and re-envisioned to offer the understated luxury and simplicity of Byron Beach Abodes, with an emphasis on beauty and simplicity.
