A finalist in the 2017 Houses Awards and 2017 Australian Interior Design awards, Nolan House, designed by Coy, is a great example of the delicate balance of restoration and modernisation. This home’s heritage roots have been upgraded to include a truly modern fit out. Located in Middle Park in Melbourne, the interior is constructed with the expansive use of glazed sliding glass panelling, which breaks into three adjoining courtyards of varying sizes, giving the illusion of complete transparency within the light-filled interior. Our favourite design element? The wonderful use of travertine both internally and externally, adding to the seamless design which blurs the inside to outside and the rooms within.
