With interiors designed by French interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon, Il Palazzo Experimental, located in Venice, is the another dream hotel from the Experimental Group. Having recently featured Menorca Experimental Hotel - we are clearly smitten.

Located in Venice's Dorsoduro neighbourhood, the hotel occupies a Renaissance palazzo which was the former headquarters of a naval transport company. The design embraces as many existing architectural elements as possible, which were preserved from the original palazzo, including exposed beams, soaring ceilings on the first floor, a gallery, gothic framed windows and arched doorways. The hotel includes 28 rooms with four suites, which have been designed in a mixture of warm and cool tones – some surfaces are painted butter-yellow, blush-pink or deep red in a nod to the colour of the homes that line Dorsoduro's canals.

Much like the preceding destinations, designer Dorothée Meilichzon wanted the interiors of the new Venice hotel to mirror its immediate surroundings

The doorframes, headboards and sofas are arched, mimicking the shape of window frames on traditional Venetian buildings.
