Working within the bones of an existing late twentieth century build, GOLDEN has reimagined a four bedroom, five bathroom family home with luxurious warmth and practicality - providing spaces which celebrate the connection between the outside and the inside. Surrounded by views of Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay, The Esplanade invokes a calm, restorative and enduring connection to its idyllic bay side location.

The carefully considered palette of colour and texture flows through each space. Each zone within the home is conducive to a distinct mood or moment. Tonal contrasts delineate individual living spaces and a thoughtful choice of finishes allows collective flow from the outdoor terrace and front living zone to the main living spaces.

Drawing from the rich tonal beauty of the bay, organic surfaces such as natural stone and warm timber are offset by fine metal detailing.

Within the main living space, lofty ceilings are grounded with a measured textile palette, over-scaled furniture and a depth of tactility designed to enliven the senses and encourage warmth.

The large Living Divani sofa is an iconic addition to the living space while a custom rug by Halcyon Lake provides scale for the four metre long bespoke dining table designed by Lowe Furniture. A diffused pendant lighting by Flos illuminates touches of brass and highlights textured linens to create a softness that tempers the large space.

The transition of spaces is a recurring theme; essential for the large home - each zone is conducive to a distinct mood.
