The Other Art Fair will be returning to The Cutaway at Barangaroo, Sydney, this 12 – 15 October, showcasing the talented work of over 130 emerging and established Australian-based artists – an opportunity to be fully immersed in innovative, thought-provoking and ground-breaking art.

The Other Art Fair makes buying art incredibly easy, acting as a one-stop shop for everything you need to get your new piece home and on the wall as soon as possible, with the option to use Art Money, enabling you to pay overtime and interest-free.

Saatchi Art, the organiser of event, remains committed to reshaping the art world and how we experience it. The fair is set to be inclusive and thought-provoking, with motivating art that features a dynamic line-up of events, workshops, immersive installations, DJs, and a full bar.

‘We're not just “curating art”, we're building a playground of boundless creativity and I personally can't wait for Sydneysiders to come along and play, whilst our artists boldly strut their stuff,’ says Luke Potkin, fair director.

Firm believers that art should be authentically approachable, inclusive, and enjoyable, The Other Art Fair offers a distinct chance for independent artists and art enthusiasts to participate in a groundbreaking, boundary-pushing movement. In this movement, all types of art, both traditional and contemporary, are embraced and exchanged among us all.

This year, the fair includes the opportunity to meet Doctor Robot – the time-traveling sensation from the year nine million, locked in an indestructible space cube. Using mind-bending futuristic powers, Doctor Robot will delve into your brain to reveal your quirkiest secrets. You will also be able to create your own animation with cartoonist John Paine, and for something a lot more permanent, resident tattoo artists Ink Sphinx and Nah Mate Pokes will be set up for live tattooing, so that you can take home a piece of art where you are the canvas!

If you’re after some mystical fair merchandise – The Other Store merch shop, in collaboration with Magic Castles, will be open, exclusive to 2023 global fairs. Discover a limited-edition line of shoppers, tees and caps designed with magic and art in mind.

The opening night of the fair is Thursday October 12, from 5 – 10pm , the night is open to everyone (no VIP ropes in sight!) offering an exclusive opportunity to have first access to artists and the freshly hung artwork. The fair continues through to Sunday October 15 – book tickets before 11 October and save 30%.
