“I'm drawn to all the colours of the rainbow, although I've always had a soft spot for green - so much so that I married a man with Green as his surname!” says Julia Green. Styling – Julia Green assisted by Aisha Chaudhry and Jessica Retallack. Photo – Armelle Habib.

Each piece in the collection has a story or tells a story and celebrates long held craftsmanship, and of course colour. They are all treasures looking to be buried in people’s homes.

Julia Green’s love and admiration for Morocco and its rainbow of colour is evident in almost anything she touches. Her new homewares collection Moroccan Treasures, sourced for her homewares agency and online store Greenhouse Interiors, is no exception. Inspired by past trips to Morocco, the new collection draws deeply from the colours and textures of North Africa, “I am so in love with every single colourful piece I’ve selected,” she says of the new collection, “I could see each piece as part of a colourful puzzle when selecting them.”

Moroccan Treasures includes a distinctive collection of rugs, textiles, earthenware and a small range of clothing. Each piece is handmade and sourced from artisans in Morocco, with a considered approach to its maker and origin. The common thread carried out throughout the range is the joyous approach the makers have applied to colour and how it can be applied to any interior. “Colour can work wonders in a space, setting the mood and tone — it's all about knowing when to turn the dial up or down and learning companion colours so it feels considered and not a chaotic mess,” shares Julia.
