When your favourite pieces are too beautiful to be hidden away, the new The Mixer cabinet is ideal to put them on display.

‘Colour is at the heart of Mustard Made and every shade we choose is intentional.’

Born from a shared love for vintage lockers—weathered, storied, and full of character—Mustard Made was founded in 2018 by sisters Becca and Jess Stern. The brand is a celebration of function, form, and colour, rooted in family and shaped by thoughtful design.

Their products are instantly recognisable: industrial yet playful, nostalgic but fresh. Inspired by Becca’s collection of vintage lockers sourced from antique shops and roadside finds, the sisters reworked the classic form to marry beauty with practicality. ‘We gave the iconic locker design a makeover to unlock its potential,’ says Jess. ‘It was about creating something that felt familiar, but more useful, more beautiful.’

Each piece in the Mustard collection is designed to feel seasonless, versatile, and considered—from slim hallway solutions to vibrant bedroom staples. Their now-signature colour palette began with a weathered blush-and-olive locker Becca once found on the side of the road. ‘Every shade we choose is intentional,’ says Jess. ‘We see them as a family—every colour needs to work in harmony with the others.’

Becca, with a background in jewellery and visual arts, brings a tactile sensibility to the design and branding, while Jess’s experience in buying and operations helps steer the business with clarity. ‘We’ve grown Mustard in a way that plays to our strengths,’ says Jess. ‘It means we both get to stay close to the parts we love most.’

The brand now spans two hemispheres, with teams in London and locally in Newcastle, and a growing collection of six signature locker styles, the recently launched Glass Collection, and The Ledge—a minimal floating shelf designed to complement their storage line. But even with scale, Mustard Made remains rooted in a clear vision: to create beautiful, useful pieces that bring joy to real homes.

‘Our products are colourful, functional, and designed for home, work, and play,’ the sisters share. ‘They’re made to last, to be loved, and to add a little something extra to the spaces people live in.’

What’s next for the duo? The sisters promise that there’s more on the horizon. Whatever it is, it’s bound to be bright, bold, and unmistakably Mustard Made!
