Illusionaries is London’s latest experimental art hub – a space where the world of contemporary digital art breaks exciting new ground. The multisensory world exclusively created by Illusionaries, gives visitors to experience the latest immersive audio-visual art at the Canary Wharf venue.

The second exhibition in the incredible space is Latent Spaces, an other-worldly immersive exploration, which takes audiences on a journey through four distinct and captivating ‘spaces’. Each room explores a different narrative of the relationship between artificial intelligence and humanity’s collective unconscious – blurring the lines between reality and illusion.

The multidisciplinary artist behind the exhibition, Markos Kay, has created a collage of refined artworks, designed through two decades of experimenting with digital art, which will be presented to the public for the first time in this format.

Latent Spaces is the product of years of exploration into the convergence of art, science and technology. Experienced in four parts, each ‘space’ will explore a different world within the multitudes of connections in the mind of artificial intelligence, which goes beyond the limits of any of our collective imaginations,’ says Markos.

The exhibition features a soundtrack specially composed by music designer and producer, Jesse Solomon Clark, who has collaborated on large-scale installations around the world, including Living Canvas in Dublin; The Spheres conservator in Seattle; and The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

The spaces inside the surreal world take visitors on a transcendent linear journey through the senses. There are four different spaces within: the first space is The Formations Space, which envelops its audience using mirrors, light, sound and reflection. Complexity Space, including animations depicting the birth of never-before seen environments and lifeforms, with captivating 360° visuals. Agents Space, an intricately detailed series of corridors where the audience becomes a part of the art. And lastly, Breathing Space, an opportunity to reflect on the experience in the company of breathing otherworldly creatures, beamed in circular projections within an meditative garden environment.

Latent Spaces is an incredible fusion of art and technology – an experience not to be missed if you happen to be in London!
